Billy Kent

Director

Billy Kent’s second feature film, HairBrained, (2013) stars Brendan Fraser, Alex Wolff, Parker Posey, Julia Garner.  Billy’s first feature The Oh In Ohio (2006) premiered at SXSW, and internationally at the Edinburgh Film Festival. Billy is a partner of Love Lane Pictures, with producer Sarah Bird.  Billy is a graduate of Vassar College and The American Film Institute.  He lives in Brooklyn.

Alex Wolff

Eli Pettifog

started his young career in Nickelodeon’ hit show The Naked Brothers Band, Monk and In Treatment. He and his brother Nat, (the other Naked Brother) recently released their third album Black Sheep.  Alex has also appeared in The Sitter and The Naked Brothers Band: The Movie. He also appears in The Sitter and The Birder’s Guide to Everything. Alex attends Professional Children’s School in New York City.

Austin Pendleton

 

An alumnus of Yale University, Austinwas nominated for a Tony Award as Best Director for directing Elizabeth Taylor in a revival of Lillian Hellman’s “The Little Foxes.” In the 1970s he joined the Steppenwolf company as an actor and director. The company also produced several of his plays. Austin has appeared in over 150 movies including Mr and Mrs Bridge, My Cousin Vinny,  Searching for Bobby Fischer,  Catch-22 and Finding Nemo.

Greta is a Los Angeles native currently residing in gentrified Brooklyn with her dog Batman.

Sarah Bird

Producer/Writer

HairBrained is writer/producer Sarah Bird’s second feature. Sarah’s previous film is The Oh in Ohio, also directed by Billy Kent. Sarah is also the co-writer of Love is for Lovers.

Sarah was born in Australia and raised in France, England and the United States.  She received her BA from Amherst College and her MFA from California College of the Arts.  Sarah lives in Brooklyn.

Julia Garner

has quickly gained renown for her riveting performances in films such as Martha Marcy May Marlene, which was quickly followed by Electrick Children, Not Fade Away and The Perks of Being a Wallflower and Sin City: A Dame To Kill For.

Toby Huss

Toby Huss played Artie, the Strongest Man in the World, on the cult classic Nickelodeon show The Adventures of Pete and Pete. He starred in the HBO series Carnivale, and voices the characters Cotton Hill and Kahn Souphanousinphone on the long-running animated series King of the Hill. Other credits include Reno 911!, Beavis and Butthead Do America, Cowboys & Aliens, 30 Rock, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Seinfeld, Jerry Maguire, Down Periscope, The Basketball Diaries and Hung.

Elisabeth Hower

Elisabeth started her career in New York. She first appeared in pilots, such as the G4’s “Undercover Cheerleaders,” a mostly improvised exploration
of how hard it is to be blonde, as well as independent films like “Happy Hour,” and plays. More recently, Elisabeth guest starred on “Louie”, and
was a series regular on MTV’s critically acclaimed “Just Want My Pants Back.”

Adam Wierzbianski

Screenwriter

Adam Wierzbianski and director, Billy Kent have a long-standing collaborative relationship. Adam’s work, the comedically-charged and sexy The Oh in Ohio, was lauded by Ruthe Stein of The San Francisco Chronicle, among many others. She says “Satire is awfully hard to pull off, but screenwriter Adam Wierzbianski exhibits a flair for it.” Adam lives in Brooklyn, New York.

Parker Posey

has appeared in over 60 films and 50 television shows.  Her comedic timing, deadpan humor and charm have garnered her nominations from Independent Spirit Awards to the Golden Globes. Her films include Dazed and Confused, Waiting for Guffman, A Mighty Wind, The Oh in Ohio, Daytrippers and The House of Yes, Dazed and Confused and You’ve Got Mail. Her TV work includes The Good Wife, The Simpsons, Nurse Jackie, The Big C and Louie.

Teddy Bergman

Alan

just finished the Broadway run of the Tony Award Winning play Peter and the Starcatcher where he originated the role of Fighting Prawn. He has also recently completed filming Fading Gigolo with John Turturro, Woody Allen, Sofia Vergara, Sharon Stone, and Liev Schrieber.

Michael Oberholtzer

Laird

has worked in film, theater, radio and television. He has been in productions at Joe Papp Public Theater NY and The New York Theater Workshop.  In addition he played in The Actors Company Theater Production of Incident at Vichy. Michael has had roles in Law and Order, and NYC:22.

Brendan Fraser

Leo Searly

was raised in Canada, the US, London and Rome. His early exposure to theatre in London led him to Seattle’s Cornish Institute. After graduation he appeared in River Phoenix’s Dogfight, Encino Man and School Ties. Five more years of supporting work led finally to the title role in George of the Jungle, a role which offered him a chance to show off his comedic talents. He describes this role as the one which dramatically altered his career. Critical raves for his role in Gods and Monsters pointed to yet another dimension to his dramatic persona. Since then he has starred in films as diverse as The Quiet American, Crash, and The Mummy.

Fred Melamed

trained at Hampshire College and the Yale School of Drama. Fred’s portrayal of “sensitive” villain Sy Ableman, in Joel and Ethan Coen’s 2009 film, A Serious Man, which was nominated for Best Picture, at the 2010 Academy Awards garnered wide acclaim.

Robin De Jesús

Romeo

is most recognized for his breakout work in the movie Camp. He has since gone on to star in a wide range of roles in the films Gun Hill Road, Elliot Loves, Bert and Arnie’s Guide to Friendship and Fat Girls. He has had guest spots on both Law and Order:SVU and How to Make it in America. He is also an accomplished stage actor having garnered two Tony nominations by the age of 25 for his work in In The Heights and La Cage Aux Folles opposite Kelsey Grammar.
